“Traveling the Highway of Holiness”
“But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, Be holy, for I am holy.” I Peter 1: 15, 16
This theme uses road signs as visual illustrations and I use David’s life for my Biblical illustration.
Stop – The importance of stopping to commune with God before getting on the highway.
Detour – This is my personal testimony of running away from God. Using David’s road to taking the kingdom as an illustration of the detours that God brings into our lives.
Caution – Again, using David’s mistakes; e.g., “Danger:Curves—Bathsheba”
Yield – Pretty much speaks for itself. David, a man after God’s own heart. All about forgiveness and repentance, and what it means to truly yield our lives to God.
“Redemption: A Love Story” – (The Book of Ruth)
The Story of Ruth is our story, too.
“May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” Ruth 2:12

“Celebrating Teacups”
This topic was created to fit in with the women’s ministry theme of a tea party. The talks were as follows:
Who God Has Created Us To Be
How God Continues to Mold and Change Us
What Are Some Characteristics of a Beautiful Christian Woman?
Where, As A Community of Women, Can We Use These Characteristics in Service
Being Thankful For Who God has Created Us To Be
This particular retreat had 5 spots to fill, and #5 was a wrap up, but could be combined with #4.
